Product identification
Provide the pallet code, drawing, dimensions, construction and whether it is new or used. Include the supplier and shipment reference where available.
We offer ISPM15 heat-treated pallets and PPWR compliance documentation for EU export enquiries, including applicable Declarations of Conformity and supporting pallet data.
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation covers transport packaging alongside other packaging categories. The obligations relevant to a shipment depend on the packaging, the business’s role and the applicable dates.
A search for “PPWR compliant pallets” should lead to a specification and evidence review. A generic compliance phrase cannot identify which requirements have been assessed for a particular pallet.
Official UK exporter guidance calls for a Declaration of Conformity for packaging types placed on the market from 12 August 2026, supported by technical documentation demonstrating the requirements applicable at that time.
When requesting a pallet manufacturer Declaration of Conformity, identify the pallet type, product reference and intended use. Confirm who has the manufacturer obligation for the packaging concerned and which document covers your specification.
Start an enquiry with the information that identifies your packaging, rather than requesting a statement for all wooden pallets.
Provide the pallet code, drawing, dimensions, construction and whether it is new or used. Include the supplier and shipment reference where available.
State the information requested for timber, other components and pallet weight. Confirm whether reported figures need to be measured values or specification-based estimates.
Ask which declarations, assessments and supporting records relate to the specified packaging. A drawing identifies construction; it is not, by itself, a Declaration of Conformity.
EU Extended Producer Responsibility reporting is a separate practical question from pallet manufacture. Establish the responsible producer and the relevant national scheme before agreeing the reporting data you need.
Send us the customer’s data template and the pallet reference. Ask about material classification, component weights and the basis of any reuse or recycled-content information. Available records and any additional assessment should be confirmed for the specific product.
ISPM15 treatment and marking address pest risk in regulated solid wood packaging. They do not, on their own, establish PPWR conformity. Likewise, a PPWR declaration does not replace an ISPM15 mark where the export route requires one.
Agree a pallet construction that supports the goods without unnecessary material. Discuss whether the receiving supply chain can reuse the pallet, what inspection and repair arrangements exist, and how it will be collected or recycled. Support environmental statements with relevant records rather than assuming every wooden pallet has the same performance.
Check the packaging’s scope, market placement, responsible manufacturer and requirements applying on the relevant date. Use the official PPWR guidance when deciding what the declaration and technical file need to cover.
Start with your required pallet specification and documentation checklist. Discuss these with the supplier before ordering, alongside load support, handling, treatment and the destination.
Send the pallet code and your reporting template. Ask which product data and evidence can be supplied, what the figures represent and whether further assessment is needed.
Email the pallet specification, quantity, delivery postcode, EU destination and the documents or data requested by your customer. We can provide PPWR documentation matched to the supplied pallet and confirm the supporting information needed for your enquiry.
